Cambridge UK, 17th January, 2010 — iTrinegy, the Networked Application Performance Lifecycle™ experts, are pleased to announce that the next generation of AppQoS, their proven networked application performance management product is on schedule for release during Spring 2011.

With reliability of network components, as monitored by SNMP tools now being taken as a given, what really matters today is visibility of application performance in the network, competing network traffic and end-user experience. iTrinegy's new AppQoS-G2 (Generation 2), with real-time (to Layer 7) analysis of application transactions across the network addresses this need. Most significantly, AppQoS-G2 can deliver performance and functionality comparable to many of the major APM products but at a fraction of the cost (tyically between 1/5 and 1/50 of the cost of premium performance management products).

Features and Capability

  • AppQoS-G2 enhanced functionality includes:
  • 10 GeE interfaces for network traffic capture
  • Real-time, full-stream reassembly and analysis of entire network traffic on the monitored segments
  • Consolidated views and alerting from multiple collection points
  • Highly customisable user dashboards
  • Sophisticated multiuser role based web GUI
  • Recorded analysis data of up to 12 months
  • 'Rolling window’ capture of the full network packets for payload analysis, if required

AppQoS-G2 makes powerful APM technology now commercially viable for:

  • Enterprises to install on multiple network segments
  • Service and Network provides who wish to deliver APM to all their customers
  • Small SMEs and SMBs

Applicability:

  • AppQoS employs non-intrusive (packet inspection) techniques to capture and analyse all the traffic travelling over monitored network segments. The collated information can be used to:
  • Prioritise business-critical applications and eliminate unnecessary bandwidth upgrades
  • Identify and remedy existing and potential bottlenecks utilisation issues and network abuse
  • Map application dependency
  • Identify the “Who, What, Where and When” traffic in your network

Furthermore, AppQoS-G2 measures the performance and utlisation of the applications and identifies whether the issue exists on the network or the server.
