iTrinegy AppQoS inspects all the traffic going backwards and forwards over a network segment and measures and records actual (rather than simulated) application response times for every transaction made to your key applications. It summarizes all of the network traffic (e.g. Http, Windows Networking, VoIP etc. - please see iTrinegy AppQoS Portable for further information), network users, applications and associated utilization. With only a few clicks, you will be able to rapidly identify what’s really causing poor application response time.

iTrinegy AppQoS also issues real-time warnings when application performance, bandwidth availability or usage, and/or traffic flows fall outside user-defined parameters. Being a permanently installed monitoring solution, it can be used to identify the causes of intermittent problems and for conducting long-term network usage trend analysis.
Non-Intrusive
iTrinegy AppQoS connects to any network segment (10/100/1000) of interest by mirroring (spanning) or tapping standard Ethernet port connections. Once plugged in, iTrinegy AppQoS non-intrusively monitors the traffic passing it, including requests and responses to business applications.
Enterprise-Wide Monitoring
iTrinegy AppQoS enables you to collect data from multiple network areas simultaneously by simply plugging additional detectors into the required network segments. In addition, iTrinegy AppQoS has enterprise connectors allowing integration with major helpdesk, frameworks and network management systems including Heat, Remedy, Tivoli, OpenView and Unicenter.
It's quicker than a sniffer
Unlike Network Packet Analyzers (Sniffers), with iTrinegy AppQoS packets are not captured and stored and so no commercially sensitive data is recorded. Rather, the packets are inspected in real time and application response and usage meta data is stored on the data base. This allows easy investigation in just minutes of switching on/plugging in as well as the ability to hold data for significant time periods – a useful feature for trend analysis.
